How to Play
Take turns marking X and O on the grid. First to line up the required number in a row (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) wins. Switch between 3×3, 4×4, and 5×5 board variants in settings.
Objective
Two players take turns placing X and O on the grid. The first to connect their marks in a row — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — wins. A full board with no winner is a draw. Choose from three variants in settings: Classic 3×3 (connect 3), 4×4 (connect 3), or 5×5 (connect 4).
Controls
• Click any empty cell to place your mark • X always moves first • vs AI: choose a difficulty and play against the computer • 2 Players: two players take turns on the same device • Switch board variants in settings (3×3 / 4×4 / 5×5) • Score tracks wins for X, O, and draws across rounds • Use keyboard 1-9 to place pieces on the 3×3 board
Tips & Strategy
• Take the center on your first move — it's part of the most winning lines • If you can't take the center, take a corner • Always block your opponent's connecting threats immediately • Create a "fork": two winning threats at once that can't both be blocked • 4×4 (connect 3) and 5×5 (connect 4) variants offer richer strategy with less first-move advantage • On larger boards, control the intersections of key lines
