Checkers
Classic Checkers (English Draughts). Capture opponent's pieces by jumping. Multiple AI difficulties.
How to Play
Click your piece to select, then click a target square to move. Diagonal moves only. Jump over opponent pieces to capture them. Settings let you switch English 8x8 / International 10x10 variants and think time.
Objective
Red and Black take turns moving pieces diagonally on dark squares. Capture all opponent pieces or trap them with no legal moves to win. Pieces reaching the far rank are crowned Kings, which can move both forward and backward (flying kings slide any distance).
Controls
• Click your piece to select it (legal moves are highlighted) • Click a highlighted square to move there • Regular pieces move diagonally forward one square • Regular kings move diagonally one square in any direction; flying kings slide any distance along a diagonal • Captures are mandatory: if a jump is available, you must take it • International draughts requires choosing the move that captures the most pieces • Multiple jumps can be chained in one turn • Reach the opponent's back rank to promote to King • Settings: vs AI / 2 players, English 8×8 / International 10×10, regular / flying king, think time • Red moves first
Tips & Strategy
• Control the center for more mobility • Keep your back row intact early to deny your opponent Kings • Force multi-jumps when possible to capture several pieces at once • Kings are far more powerful — promote pieces whenever safe • Flying kings cover huge diagonals — block their lines carefully • International draughts has a larger branching factor; use Standard think time to avoid stalls • Easy AI is good for learning; Hard AI plans several moves ahead
