Objective
Black and white take turns placing stones on board intersections. The first player to connect five stones of the same color in a row — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — wins. Expert difficulty enables VCF (Victory by Continuous Four) search and 6-ply minimax. Forbidden moves can be enabled to restrict Black.
Controls
• Click a board intersection to place a stone • vs AI: choose a difficulty and play against the computer • 2 Players: two players take turns on the same device • Undo: revert the last move (undoes two moves in vs AI mode) • Move History: view the record of all moves • Black moves first
Tips & Strategy
• Prioritize the center of the board for maximum control • Build multiple open threes/fours simultaneously — your opponent can't block them all • Watch for defense: block your opponent's open three promptly • An "open four" (four in a row with both ends open) is a guaranteed win • Easy AI is good for beginners; Hard AI requires deep calculation • Expert AI uses VCF search to find precise victory-by-continuous-four sequences • With forbidden moves enabled, Black cannot play double-three, double-four, or overline
